Dear Journal,
The first sunday night that we were in shanghi, we went to our new temple for dinner. It was actually a for a special reason. Chabad, our temple, was having a Chinese buffet for new people every Sunday from 5:30-9 in July. The food was great, they had two kinds of fish, two kinds of chicken, pasta with bean sprouts, and rice with corn, vegetables, and rolls. We met 2 other families while we were there. One of them, well, actually both of the families were from Israel. We were the first ones there. We were there early, that's why. We got there around 5. So we waited downstairs and helped the Chinese people set up the Chinese dinner. Both the rabbi, his wife and children were away that day, they couldn't be there. We said, We'll meet them a different day.
Next time when we have Chinese at Jewish, I'll tell ya.
